MediMummy: the story so far........
Hey just a little background so you know I am not talking rubbish . I am a qualified pharmacy technician and have worked in pharmacy for 13 years (god I feel old seeing that written down ! )
I am married to a wonderful man and have just welcomed our second daughter into the world, she is just ten weeks old but I feel I have had her much longer. My eldest is nearly two and a half going on sixteen; the terrible two are truly here!
It’s harder than I expected with two kids, we have our good days when I feel really good and am dressed! Then there are the bad days when we just stay home and hold it together until himself comes home! It's the hardest job being a mum so I remind myself of that sometimes and try not to be too hard on myself! So to all mums you’re doing a great job !
Having gone through two pregnancies and two hard labours I have picked up a few tips and along with tips and advice from customers over the years I have put together a list of items for the hospital and the days after.
Hospital bag essentials
- Tena lady extra pads : a lot thicker than normal pads so gives extra padding
- Witch hazel: great for bruising and when put on the pads gives great relief even better when it's cold.
- Tea tree oil: great in the bath after or put on a pad
- Face cloth: Always comes in handy!
- Little treats: bar of chocolate to have along with the best cup of tea you will ever have!
- Breast feeding pillow: great even if not breast feeding put under your arm give great support.
- Phone charger: A must!!
- Camera: so as not to miss a single moment!
If there are any questions or you would like a second opinion on anything just drop me an email!
